Adjusting vs modifying an athlete’s program

Adjust regenerates a new program version from goals; Modify makes one surgical change to the active plan. When to use each.

Two tools change an athlete's programming, and both live on the athlete's page in your roster: "Adjust programming" rebuilds the block as a new version, and "Modify active program" makes one precise change. Both need the athlete's "Program & sessions" consent, an existing active program, and the Coach plan or above.

Adjust programming — a new version

Use this to re-plan the next block from fresh goals. Any part of the program can change.

  1. In the "Adjust programming" panel, describe the "Goals for the next block" (required).
  2. Add "Constraints" (optional) and, if you want, a "Generation note" — it must be fitness-related and is screened before use.
  3. Set the number of weeks, then click "Update program".
  4. Wait a couple of minutes. When it finishes, the new version is live and the athlete sees it immediately.

Modify active program — one surgical change

Use this when the plan is right but one thing needs to change. Only what you describe changes; every other day stays exactly the same.

  1. In "Modify active program", describe the change — e.g. swap the Day 2 run for a 20-min row.
  2. Click "Apply change". It runs in the background and a banner tracks "day X of Y", so you can leave the page.
  3. Wait for the banner to clear. Only one modification runs at a time.
Both actions require the Coach plan or above — on Starter you'll see an upgrade prompt. Coaches can't build a program from scratch; the first program always comes from the athlete, a store purchase, or an admin.
