Dose-increase weeks: how to train through the hard days

August 31, 2026

Ask anyone on a GLP-1 about the hardest weeks and they'll name the same ones: the weeks the dose goes up. Nausea, fatigue, a vanishing appetite - usually worst in the 24–72 hours after the injection, then easing as your body adjusts.

These weeks are exactly when most exercise plans die. A plan that expects full effort meets a week that can't give it - and one skipped week quietly becomes two.

What the program does differently

Extra support is built into dose-increase weeks. Rate your energy low at check-in and your next workout automatically does about 40% less - same exercises, same effort, fewer sets. Nauseous? Floor core work swaps for standing exercises, warm-ups run longer, and you get up from the floor slowly.

The rule stays the same: do less, never skip. A shortened workout keeps the muscle-keeping signal - and the habit - alive through the roughest days of the titration.

The week passes

Dose-increase symptoms are temporary - for most people they fade as the new dose becomes the new normal. The plan treats them that way: absorb the week, keep the streak, then build again when your energy says go.

And as always: training questions belong to us, medication questions belong to your prescriber. If symptoms are severe or persistent, that's a call to them - every page in the program says so, on purpose.
