GLP-1 Strength · FAQ
Straight answers
Do I need a gym?
No. The beginner track runs on dumbbells, bands, and a sturdy chair or box — a corner of a room is enough. The gym versions of each movement are listed too, and the intermediate track uses barbells if you have access. The program asks which equipment you have during onboarding and builds around the answer.
I've never lifted weights. Is this really for me?
Especially for you. The first two weeks assume zero experience: machine, goblet, and band exercises at a comfortable effort, two short workouts a week, with clear step-by-step notes on every exercise. Most of this program's population starts exactly where you are.
What about the days after my injection when I feel awful?
They're designed for. Rate your energy at check-in and a low score adjusts your next workout automatically — same exercises, same effort, about 40% shorter. Nauseous days swap floor work for standing exercises. The rule is do less, never skip: a shortened workout keeps the streak and the muscle-keeping signal alive.
Will lifting weights slow my weight loss?
The scale may move slightly slower some weeks — muscle is dense and hard training makes you hold a little water — but the composition of what you lose changes dramatically in your favor. Fat is the target; muscle is what you're keeping. Judge by strength, clothing fit, and how you feel, not just the scale.
How much protein do I actually need?
1.6–2.2 grams per kilogram of bodyweight per day (about 0.7–1.0 g per pound), spread across the day in 25–40 g servings. Our protein guide covers the low-appetite playbook in detail. Confirm your personal target with your prescriber or a dietitian, especially with any kidney history.
Do you advise on the medication itself — dose, timing, which one?
Never. We don't name medication brands, discuss doses, or offer any clinical guidance. Your prescriber owns every one of those questions. Our lane is the training and the protein — and we stay in it, on every page, in every email.
Is it safe to strength train while on a GLP-1?
Strength training is exactly what prescribers recommend alongside these medications — it's the standard pairing for protecting muscle. That said: tell your prescriber you're starting, get their clearance, and stop for chest pain, faintness, or unusual breathlessness. The program won't start without it, on purpose.
What does it cost?
The first two weeks are free — full workouts, check-ins, workouts that adjust to your energy, no card required. Pro is $19/month or $180/year: the full 24-week program, workouts that adapt to every check-in, progress benchmarks, and stay-on-track emails. Founding members (first 100) lock $12/month for life.
